Senior Digital Product Designer (Design Systems, Copenhagen)

Job summary

The Senior Digital Product Designer will focus on developing and maintaining a design system that enhances the efficiency of digital product development. This role involves collaborating with designers and engineers to create high-quality components, patterns, and documentation, ensuring a cohesive user experience across digital platforms.

Qualifications

• Several years of experience in digital product design with a strong systems approach.
• Degree or equivalent experience in graphic design, interaction design, communication design, or visual arts.
• Experience in designing and contributing to systems, preferably in enterprise environments.
• Ability to facilitate workshops such as design sprints and play-testing sessions.
• An up-to-date online portfolio showcasing UI, visual design, and interaction design skills.

Responsibilities

• Define, build, and evolve styles, interaction patterns, components, and documentation.
• Maintain scalable Figma component libraries from foundational to advanced components.
• Collaborate with multi-functional partners to ensure effective implementation of components.
• Apply research methods to evaluate the design system's efficiency and user needs.
• Help develop and maintain an organization-wide design token foundation.
• Contribute to delivering a consistent experience across digital products through system thinking.
• Develop guidelines for AI-assisted design workflows, including prototyping and component usage.

Skills

• Strong understanding of interaction patterns and information architecture.
• Familiarity with platform conventions across web, iOS, and Android.
• Ability to balance user needs, team collaboration, and business objectives.

Education

• Degree or equivalent experience in relevant design fields.

Tools

• Figma and other design tools relevant to component library management.
