Senior Data Engineer (On-site, Gdansk/Warsaw)

Job summary

We are seeking a senior data engineer to design and implement comprehensive data solutions that address business challenges in the lending sector. This role involves collaborating with stakeholders to create effective data models and pipelines, ensuring long-term reliability and maintainability of the systems developed.

Qualifications

• Extensive experience in data engineering and data warehousing, particularly in building large-scale data solutions.
• Proficient in designing data warehouse solutions with a focus on simplicity and maintainability.
• Hands-on experience with Oracle, PL/SQL, and DataStage.
• Strong understanding of CI/CD practices and pipeline orchestration.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with business stakeholders to translate their needs into effective data solutions.
• Take full ownership of the data solution lifecycle from design to production.
• Prioritize long-term stability and maintainability in all deliverables.
• Stay updated with AI developments and incorporate them to enhance productivity and quality.

Skills

• Strong analytical skills with the ability to understand complex business domains.
• Experience with modern data platforms such as Snowflake, dbt, and Airflow is a plus.
• Familiarity with AI applications in data engineering is desirable.

Education

• Relevant degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field is preferred.

Tools

• Oracle, PL/SQL, DataStage, CI/CD tools, and modern data engineering technologies.
