Senior Cable Specialist (Energy, Remote)

Job summary

The role involves working within the Power Systems department, focusing on offshore wind, power-to-X, carbon capture, and energy transition projects. The Senior Cable Specialist will be responsible for leading cable projects, reviewing tender documents, and preparing technical reports while collaborating with various departments.

Qualifications

• University degree in Electrical Engineering
• Over 5 years of experience in submarine or onshore HV cable system design (66KV to 400KV)
• Proficiency in cable rating software such as Cymcap
• Familiarity with international and local cable standards
• Fluent in English; knowledge of local languages is advantageous
• Experience in cable installation and civil works is a plus

Responsibilities

• Review tender documents and draft proposals covering technical and commercial aspects
• Prepare design basis in collaboration with multiple departments
• Conduct submarine and onshore cable rating and thermal calculations
• Lead cable projects, assessing interfaces with substations and civil works
• Perform inspections during cable manufacturing and installation, which may involve international travel
