Senior Cable Specialist (Power Systems)

Job summary

The role involves working within the Power Systems department, focusing on offshore wind, power-to-X, carbon capture, and energy transition projects. The Senior Cable Specialist will be responsible for leading cable projects, reviewing tender documents, preparing technical reports, and conducting cable rating and thermal calculations.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering
• Over 5 years of experience in submarine or onshore HV cable system design (66KV to 400KV)
• Proficiency in cable rating software such as Cymcap
• Familiarity with international and local cable standards
• Fluent in English; knowledge of local languages is advantageous
• Experience in cable installation and civil works is a plus

Responsibilities

• Review tender documents and draft proposals covering technical and commercial aspects
• Prepare design basis in collaboration with various departments
• Participate in internal meetings and client discussions
• Lead cable projects, including submarine and onshore cable scopes
• Conduct cable factory and site inspections during manufacturing and installation

Education
