Senior Cable Specialist (Power Systems)

Job summary

The role involves joining a team focused on delivering innovative engineering design projects within the energy transition sector, particularly in offshore wind and carbon capture. The Senior Cable Specialist will be responsible for various project phases, including feasibility studies and detailed engineering.

Qualifications

• University degree in Electrical Engineering
• Over 5 years of experience in submarine or onshore HV cable system design (66KV to 400KV)
• Proficiency in cable rating software such as Cymcap
• Familiarity with international and local cable standards
• Fluent in English; knowledge of local languages is advantageous
• Experience in cable installation and civil works is a plus

Responsibilities

• Review tender documents and draft proposals covering technical and commercial aspects
• Prepare technical reports based on project documents
• Participate in internal and client meetings
• Collaborate with various departments to prepare design bases
• Conduct submarine and onshore cable rating and thermal calculations
• Lead cable projects, including submarine and onshore scopes
• Assess interfaces with transition joint bays, substations, and civil works
• Inspect cable manufacturing and installation at factories and sites, including potential travel abroad
