Senior Backend Engineer (Remote)

Job summary

A fully remote Senior Backend Engineer is sought to enhance and develop server-side applications and database architecture. The role involves collaborating with front-end developers and improving code efficiency.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 3 years of experience with Node.js, TypeScript, and Express.
• Practical experience with NoSQL databases, preferably MongoDB.
• Strong understanding of object-oriented programming principles.
• Degree in Computer Science or related field, or equivalent vocational training.
• Familiarity with AWS (S3, ECS, EC2), Docker, and Terraform is advantageous.
• Previous experience with NestJS is a plus.
• Proactive problem solver with a willingness to learn new systems.
• Team player who enjoys collaboration with cross-functional teams.

Responsibilities

• Design and maintain server-side applications and database architecture.
• Collaborate with front-end developers to ensure a seamless user experience.
• Regularly review and enhance code and system efficiency.
• Develop and deploy reusable, testable code along with automated tests.

Skills

• Proficiency in Node.js, TypeScript, and Express.
• Experience with NoSQL databases, particularly MongoDB.
• Understanding of object-oriented programming principles.
• Familiarity with modern development tools such as GitHub, ClickUp, and Slack.

Education
