Senior Backend Engineer (Remote)

Job summary

The role involves developing microservices in a fully remote environment, focusing on containerization using Docker and Kubernetes. You will work on complex systems that handle millions of daily accesses, contributing to the core logic rather than simple CRUD applications.

Qualifications

• At least 6 years of experience in a relevant backend engineering role.
• Preferred experience with Spring Boot, Spring Cloud, and Spring Data.
• Strong background in designing highly scalable and transactional systems.
• Advanced proficiency in Object Oriented Design and analysis.
• Experience with behavior-driven testing techniques.
• Proficient in SQL and application development with technologies like RabbitMQ, MySQL, and Redis.
• Strong experience with container and cloud solutions such as Docker, Kubernetes, and AWS.
• Excellent communication skills in English.

Responsibilities

• Develop scalable backends for mobile internet applications.
• Collaborate with Product Owners and team members to define new features and user stories.
• Participate in code reviews to ensure adherence to project vision and standards.
• Respond to production support calls for quick diagnosis and repair.
• Engage in team ceremonies including planning and retrospectives.
• Mentor less experienced team members.

Skills

• Deep understanding of Microservices architecture.
• Advanced proficiency in non-functional software qualities like resiliency and maintainability.
• Ability to work independently.

Education

• Relevant degree or equivalent experience in software engineering or a related field.
