Senior AI Engineer (Financial Services, Remote)

Job summary

This role focuses on developing secure and scalable AI agents to enhance both internal productivity and client interactions within a regulated financial services environment. The position requires expertise in both low-code and high-code development, particularly using Microsoft Copilot Studio and programming languages such as C#/.NET and Python.

Qualifications

• Over 7 years of experience in software engineering, including 3+ years in cloud development and 2+ years working with production-level LLMs or agents.
• Proficient in C#/.NET for enterprise services and Python for AI orchestration and tooling.
• Experience with Copilot Studio, Power Virtual Agents, and Power Platform, including prompt design and enterprise governance.
• Familiarity with Model Context Protocol (MCP) servers in secure environments.
• Understanding of agent architectures and LLMOps practices.

Responsibilities

• Define and enforce engineering standards for agent development across both low-code and high-code environments.
• Create reusable frameworks and templates for agent management and observability.
• Support a centralized access layer for model routing and optimization across various AI providers.
• Design and implement production-grade agents, integrating them with enterprise systems.
• Collaborate with Risk, Compliance, and Security teams to ensure responsible AI practices and documentation.
• Mentor colleagues and contribute to a Center of Excellence for Power Platform and Copilot.

Skills

• Strong communication skills for mentoring and driving standards adoption.
• Expertise in CI/CD practices, including GitHub/Azure DevOps and Docker.
• Familiarity with observability tools like OpenTelemetry and Prometheus/Grafana.

Education

• Relevant degree in Computer Science or a related field is preferred.

Tools

• Experience with Azure components, REST/gRPC, Kafka, and Microsoft 365/Graph is beneficial. Familiarity with Kubernetes and vector databases is a plus.
