SAP Project System (PS) Functional Consultant

Job summary

This role involves working within a Nordic SAP practice on S/4HANA transformation projects for large clients in various sectors including energy, manufacturing, life sciences, shipping, and infrastructure. The consultant will design and implement project structures and financial solutions for clients with substantial capital investment portfolios, collaborating with project controllers and asset accountants to create effective SAP solutions.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, engineering, business administration, or IT
• Over 5 years of experience in SAP PS configuration, including at least one full implementation lifecycle
• Proven experience with capital project management, including investment programs and capital budgeting
• Strong understanding of project controlling and capex accounting principles
• Professional fluency in English; proficiency in a Nordic language is advantageous

Responsibilities

• Conduct requirement workshops and fit-to-standard sessions with stakeholders
• Design and configure SAP PS end-to-end, including WBS hierarchies and project profiles
• Manage capital project flows from appropriation request to asset capitalization
• Oversee PS integration with CO, FI, AA, IM, MM, SD, PM/EAM, and HR/CATS
• Develop cost, revenue, and budget planning solutions, including forecasting
• Lead testing phases and support project cutover and hypercare
• Manage a small to medium-sized workstream team, ensuring quality and development of junior consultants
• Provide advisory on capex governance and project lifecycle discipline

Skills

• Ability to write clear functional specifications and communicate effectively with both business and technical teams
• Experience leading a delivery team or workstream with accountability for outcomes
