Resource Geology Specialist (Mining, Remote - Western Australia)

Job summary

This role involves leading geological activities at a copper project in the Paterson region of Western Australia, focusing on resource development and narrow vein orebody systems. It is a 12-month fixed term position with a fly-in fly-out schedule from Perth.

Qualifications

• Strong technical and operational experience in resource geology
• Proven leadership skills, particularly in mentoring junior geologists
• Commitment to safety and compliance with QA/QC protocols

Responsibilities

• Lead a team of geologists and field technicians in the field
• Design and execute multi-disciplinary drill programs and exploration activities
• Oversee the collection of downhole geophysical data for geological interpretation
• Ensure compliance with standards and procedures related to data collection
• Support GIS mapping, 3D modeling, and geophysical interpretation
• Manage contractor relationships through regular feedback and reviews
