Job summary

The role involves conducting research in Interface Management within the Section of Engineering Design and Manufacturing Systems. The focus is on understanding how interface management can mitigate delays and errors in projects involving multiple companies and suppliers.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in engineering or equivalent
• Experience in modeling mechanical, electrical, and software solutions
• Understanding of modularization theory and methods
• Familiarity with analysis and synthesis in engineering design
• Knowledge of the interplay between design and manufacturing

Responsibilities

• Perform a literature review on interface definitions and modeling across various technology areas, including software, electronics, and mechanics
• Assess how these interfaces can be managed using PLM and CAD tools
• Document findings from the literature study
• Publish research results in a Web of Science indexed journal

Skills

• Strong analytical and synthesis skills in engineering design
• Proficiency in modeling techniques for different engineering domains
