Job summary

This part-time position (15 hours per week) for a duration of 6 months involves supporting research activities at the intersection of chemistry, materials science, and characterization, primarily focusing on advanced material systems. The role requires hands-on laboratory work and collaboration in an interdisciplinary environment.

Qualifications

  • Background in chemistry, materials science, or chemical engineering
  • Hands-on laboratory experience with experimental work
  • Interest in materials synthesis, processing, and characterization
  • Ability to work independently and in a structured manner
  • Good communication skills in English
  • Strong scientific writing skills; publication experience is a plus
  • Master’s degree in engineering or equivalent required

Responsibilities

  • Prepare and process material formulations and samples
  • Conduct experimental work related to polymeric systems
  • Characterize materials using techniques such as spectroscopy, microscopy, thermal analysis, rheology, and mechanical testing
  • Collect, organize, and analyze experimental data
  • Maintain laboratory workflows, documentation, and research records
  • Optimize formulations, sample preparation protocols, and experimental procedures
  • Collaborate with team members on day-to-day research activities

Education
