Job summary

The Engineering Team Leader is responsible for guiding a small team of engineers, fostering team dynamics, and ensuring optimal execution of product development. This role involves a mix of management and hands-on engineering work, with a focus on continuous improvement and team growth.

Qualifications

• Experience managing an engineering team of at least 2 members.
• Proficiency in Frontend (React, JS, ES6, Jest) or Backend (Elixir/Phoenix) technologies.
• Strong engineering fundamentals with a history of delivering secure, reliable, and scalable production systems.
• Familiarity with designing or adopting automation workflows and enhancing them iteratively.
• Excellent communication and organizational skills, with a keen attention to detail.
• Commitment to diversity, equality, and inclusion within the team.

Responsibilities

• Manage a product team of 3-5 engineers, spending 30% of time on management tasks.
• Participate actively in product development alongside the team.
• Oversee hiring and onboarding processes for new engineers.
• Provide continuous feedback and coaching to team members.
• Redesign engineering workflows to incorporate autonomous agents for improved efficiency.
• Develop and implement agentic workflows to enhance delivery speed and quality.
• Ensure the reliability and scalability of outcomes through verification loops.
