About the role

Job summary

The role involves leading strategic sourcing and procurement execution for road freight across Europe, focusing on both Less Than Truckload (LTL) and Full Truckload (FTL) networks. The position requires collaboration with various teams to enhance commercial performance and ensure efficient operations.

Qualifications

  • Over 5 years of experience in procurement, logistics, or road freight
  • Expertise in LTL / FTL and familiarity with the European logistics network
  • Strong commercial acumen and negotiation skills
  • Analytical mindset with a focus on data-driven decision making
  • Proactive and structured approach to execution
  • Proficiency in English; additional languages are advantageous

Responsibilities

  • Conduct sourcing events, tenders, and negotiations
  • Develop and implement category strategies for LTL / FTL
  • Manage the onboarding process for carriers and oversee agreements
  • Monitor and optimize carrier performance across Europe, focusing on key performance indicators (KPIs) such as on-time, in-full (OTIF) delivery, cost efficiency, and service quality
  • Ensure compliance with contracts and drive continuous improvement
  • Utilize data for informed pricing and sourcing decisions
  • Collaborate with product teams to align sourcing strategies with operational needs

Education

  • Relevant degree in business, logistics, or a related field preferred

Tools

  • Experience with Transportation Management Systems (TMS) and digital procurement tools such as OTM, Transporeon, and CargoWise
