Job summary

This position involves working on the assembly and troubleshooting of both room temperature and cryogenic systems for a pioneering quantum computing project. The role requires collaboration and problem-solving skills to develop and characterize new hardware components.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's or Master's Degree in Physics, Engineering, or a related field, with significant industry or research experience.
  • Proven experience in hardware characterization and code development in a version-controlled environment (e.g., Git).
  • Familiarity with electrical engineering design principles.

Responsibilities

  • Troubleshoot room temperature and cryogenic hardware, addressing instrumentation faults and mechanical issues.
  • Design, assemble, and debug new hardware components to enhance system performance.
  • Characterize room temperature hardware and develop code infrastructure for instrumentation support.
  • Analyze and document results from system characterization tests.
  • Collaborate on the quantum program’s code infrastructure and streamline measurement and analysis code.

Skills

  • Proficiency in high-level programming languages (e.g., Python).
  • Experience with low-noise electronic measurements and cryogenic techniques.
  • Strong communication skills and ability to document processes rigorously.

Education

  • Bachelor's or Master's Degree in a relevant field.

Tools

  • Experience with AI tools for innovation and efficiency in hardware development.
  • Familiarity with measurement and analysis tools relevant to quantum systems.
