Quality Engineer

Job summary

Seeking a Quality Engineer to develop testing capabilities and quality assurance practices. This role involves establishing best practices and standards for software quality, influencing testing strategies, and implementing automated test suites for web applications and APIs.

Qualifications

• Extensive experience with end-to-end test automation using frameworks like Playwright, Selenium, or Cypress.
• Strong knowledge of API testing approaches and tools for REST services.
• Proven experience in building test infrastructure and automation frameworks from scratch.
• Strong programming and scripting skills, preferably in C#/.NET.
• Experience integrating automated tests into CI/CD pipelines, particularly with Azure DevOps.

Responsibilities

• Design and build automated end-to-end test suites for web applications and APIs.
• Establish testing standards and best practices across Product Development teams.
• Develop a comprehensive regression testing strategy to ensure release confidence.
• Make strategic decisions on automation versus manual testing.
• Ensure quality for customer migrations to a new cloud-native platform.
• Integrate automated tests into CI/CD pipelines for fast feedback.
• Implement non-functional testing practices including load and performance testing.
• Collaborate with development teams as a QA partner.
• Create test documentation and quality metrics dashboards.
• Mentor engineers on testing practices and automation techniques.

Skills

• Strong understanding of test design principles and risk-based testing.
• Proficiency with Git version control and agile development environments.
• Hands-on experience with load and performance testing tools.

Education

• Relevant degree or equivalent experience in a related field is preferred.

Tools

• Familiarity with Microsoft testing ecosystem tools like xUnit, NUnit, and Azure DevOps Test Plans is a plus.
