Job summary

The role of a Quality Engineer involves enhancing the quality management system and ensuring compliance with quality standards in the oil and gas sector. The position focuses on monitoring production quality challenges and facilitating continual improvement across the organization.

Qualifications

  • Lead Auditor Qualification (essential)
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in a similar role (essential)
  • Knowledge of fabrication, assembly, and testing services in the oil and gas industry (desirable)

Responsibilities

  • Monitor quality challenges primarily related to production
  • Follow up on internal quality indicators (IQs) and their progress
  • Investigate significant quality deviations in coordination with the Quality Manager
  • Prepare and report on supplier audits and internal audits
  • Manage supplier performance trends and maintain approved supplier lists
  • Update procedures and guidelines within the QA area
  • Conduct training for new employees on quality standards

Skills

  • Strong problem-solving abilities and effective decision-making under tight deadlines
  • Ability to organize multiple activities and resources to achieve goals
  • Quick identification of critical information and appropriate responses
  • Strong customer focus and collaborative team player

Education

  • Relevant qualifications in Quality Assurance or related fields

Tools

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook)
  • Familiarity with ERP systems and global industry standards (DNV, Lloyds Register) is a plus
  • Medium proficiency in English, both written and spoken
