Job summary

The role of a QA Engineer involves enhancing the quality management system by monitoring quality requirements related to production and relevant product standards. The focus is on continuous improvement of performance in quality practices, enabling ad-hoc investigations and audits as necessary.

Qualifications

  • Lead Auditor Qualification (essential)
  • At least 3 years of experience in a similar role (essential)
  • Knowledge of fabrication, assembly, and testing services in the oil and gas sector (desirable)
  • Knowledge of global industry standards (DNV, Lloyds Register, etc.) (desirable)

Responsibilities

  • Monitor quality challenges primarily related to production
  • Follow up on internal quality indicators (IQs) and progress as a supervisor
  • Investigate major quality deviations in coordination with the Quality Manager
  • Prepare and report on supplier audits and internal audits
  • Manage supplier performance trends and evaluations
  • Maintain and update QA procedures and guidelines
  • Provide quality training to new employees

Skills

  • Strong problem-solving abilities
  • Good judgment under tight deadlines
  • Ability to organize multiple activities and resources
  • Quick identification of critical information
  • Strong customer focus and teamwork skills

Education

  • Computer literacy, including proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook)
  • Medium level English proficiency (speaking and writing)

  • ERP systems (knowledge desirable)
  • Quality Assurance procedures and Health & Safety policies
