Job summary

This role involves validating and verifying software systems to ensure quality and reliability in a remote-first environment. The engineer will work across various technologies, collaborating with teams to troubleshoot issues and maintain high engineering standards.

Qualifications

  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in software development, DevOps, QA engineering, or a related field.
  • Strong understanding of Linux, Windows, and macOS environments.
  • Proficient in backend technologies such as Python, Java, Node.js, or PHP.
  • Familiarity with databases like MongoDB, SQL, or MySQL.
  • Experience with Git and version control workflows.
  • Exposure to frontend technologies (HTML, CSS, JavaScript) is a plus.
  • Knowledge of AWS services and cloud infrastructure is beneficial.

Responsibilities

  • Execute software verification activities to ensure applications are built and functioning correctly.
  • Perform software builds across multiple programming languages and frameworks.
  • Investigate and resolve build failures and configuration issues.
  • Conduct end-to-end functional testing using manual and automated methods.
  • Document and communicate bugs and performance concerns.
  • Collaborate with teams to gather requirements and share progress.
  • Support backend, frontend, and DevOps initiatives as needed.
  • Contribute to improving verification processes and quality assurance standards.

Skills

  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret technical documentation.
  • Excellent communication and adaptability in distributed teams.

Education

  • Relevant technical degree or equivalent experience preferred.

Tools

  • Familiarity with build and automation tools such as Maven, Webpack, or MSBuild.
