QA Automation Engineer (Remote)

Job summary

This role focuses on ensuring the quality of software releases by actively participating in the development process from requirements gathering to final testing. The QA Automation Engineer will have the authority to determine readiness for launch and will work closely with the development team to enhance quality processes.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 3 years of testing experience
• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or Electrical Engineering
• Strong proficiency in Python

Responsibilities

• Conduct various types of testing including black box, white box, integration, and performance for Web and mobile platforms
• Develop automated test cases for Web, Mobile, and APIs
• Analyze automated tests to enhance efficiency
• Document product issues and provide feedback for resolution
• Collaborate with team members to share testing information
• Create and maintain automated tests and frameworks
• Improve Continuous Integration pipelines
• Identify opportunities to enhance quality processes
• Write test plans and reports based on feature requirements
• Simulate user scenarios for testing
• Review designs and code, providing constructive feedback
• Mentor junior team members

Skills

• Experience with Docker and Kubernetes
• Familiarity with manual testing for Web, Android, and iOS
• Knowledge of Continuous Integration systems
• Proficient in using web debugging and API testing tools like Chrome DevTools and Postman
• Understanding of various testing types including unit, integration, end-to-end, and performance testing
• Experience in mobile app test automation for Android and iOS
• Working knowledge of relational databases, preferably MySQL
