Project Assistant (Pharmaceutical Sciences, Odense)

Job summary

A two-year position is available focusing on the formulation development and biopharmaceutical understanding of novel compounds for tuberculosis treatment. The role is based in the pharmacy research group at the Department of Physics, Chemistry, and Pharmacy.

Qualifications

• A strong interest in pharmaceutical formulation and evaluation, particularly in suspensions.
• A BSc or M.Sc. in pharmacy, chemistry, or a related field is required.
• Previous experience in formulation design, particle size characterization, chemical stability studies, bioanalysis, or in vivo studies is advantageous.
• Must be independent and fluent in English, both spoken and written.

Responsibilities

• Conduct formulation development of long-acting injectables (LAIs) for tuberculosis treatment.
• Investigate the impact of formulation aspects on the performance of LAI suspensions.
• Collaborate closely with project colleagues and contribute to the understanding of biopharmaceutical performance.

Skills

• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Education

• A degree in pharmacy, chemistry, or a closely related area is required.

Tools

• Familiarity with formulation design tools and methodologies, particle size analysis techniques, and stability testing protocols.
