About the role

Job summary

The role involves leading the design experience for a B2B SaaS platform, focusing on simplifying complex manufacturing data through user-centric design. The designer will utilize AI tools to enhance the design process from research to production-ready interfaces, collaborating closely with product managers and engineers.

Qualifications

  • 3–6 years of experience in UX/product design, particularly in a B2B SaaS context with complex products.
  • Proficiency with AI design tools such as v0, Lovable, or Galileo AI, and a quick learner of new technologies.
  • Comfortable with HTML, CSS, and basic React/JSX, enabling collaboration with engineering teams.
  • Strong understanding of interaction design, information architecture, and accessibility standards (WCAG).
  • Experience in qualitative research methods and using AI for data synthesis.
  • A portfolio showcasing research, wireframes, high-fidelity UI, and examples of simplifying complex platforms.
  • A curious mindset towards emerging AI tools and a willingness to experiment and iterate.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct user research and synthesize findings using AI tools to generate insights.
  • Create wireframes and prototypes with AI assistance, minimizing reliance on traditional design software.
  • Collaborate with engineers to produce production-ready UI components directly in code.
  • Lead redesign efforts for the platform's user experience, mapping key user journeys.
  • Maintain and evolve a design system, ensuring consistency and up-to-date documentation.
  • Define and track UX metrics to evaluate feature effectiveness and user satisfaction.
  • Work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure cohesive product launches and user experiences.

Skills

  • Strong execution skills in design and prototyping.
  • Ability to bridge design and engineering through effective communication.
  • Familiarity with product analytics and user feedback mechanisms.

Education

  • Relevant degree in design, human-computer interaction, or a related field is preferred but not mandatory.

Tools

  • AI design tools (e.g., v0, Lovable, Galileo).
  • Familiarity with design systems and component libraries (e.g., Storybook, Tailwind).
