Procurement Manager

Job summary

The role involves establishing and managing a comprehensive procurement system within a growing organization focused on cell therapies. The Procurement Manager will take ownership of the procurement function, ensuring compliance with GMP standards and optimizing vendor relationships.

Qualifications

• Over 5 years of procurement experience in pharmaceuticals, biotechnology, or similar sectors.
• Hands-on experience with vendor qualification and GMP compliance assessment.
• Proficient in SAP ERP and skilled in contract negotiation.
• Experience in analyzing procurement expenses and implementing optimizations.
• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Procurement, Supply Chain, Business Administration, Finance, or a related field.

Responsibilities

• Design and implement a procurement system using SAP ERP for both GMP and non-GMP operations.
• Identify, evaluate, and qualify vendors, negotiating contracts to ensure GMP compliance.
• Ensure vendor compliance with relevant standards and take action when necessary.
• Manage purchase requisitions, orders, and procurement workflows in SAP ERP.
• Collaborate with warehouse and planning teams to maintain optimal inventory levels and minimize waste.
• Resolve supply disruptions and expedite critical orders as needed.
• Build strong relationships with key suppliers and train colleagues on procurement processes.
• Conduct risk assessments for the delivery of critical goods and plan for contingencies.
