Principal Consultant - BIM

Job summary

The role involves leading the implementation of Building Information Modeling (BIM) on major projects and programs, specifically for a Datacenter project located near Fredericia, Denmark. The successful candidate will co-manage the BIM team and oversee project delivery, ensuring adherence to BIM standards and practices.

Qualifications

• Qualified professional in a relevant discipline with a minimum of five years of experience in a BIM environment.
• Familiarity with ISO 19650 and other local standards/guidelines.
• Strong communication and analytical skills, with a proactive approach.
• Previous experience in a BIM role on major projects or large portfolios is preferred.
• Competence in model checking and authoring software such as Solibri Model Checker, Autodesk Navisworks, Graphisoft ArchiCAD, Bentley AECOsim, Nemetschek Vectorworks, Autodesk Revit, and Autodesk Construction Cloud/360.

Responsibilities

• Lead and support the BIM team in implementing BIM across projects and portfolios.
• Author key BIM documentation including Asset Information Requirements and BIM Execution Plans.
• Assess project teams' BIM competency and advise on project BIM Execution Plans.
• Ensure compliance with project BIM standards and report risks with mitigations.
• Conduct model assurance activities and lead BIM workgroup sessions.
• Research and implement new technologies and best practices in BIM.
• Support tender bidding teams to secure future projects.
