About the role

Job summary

This role involves working as a Powerplants and Generators Specialist within a team of Power Systems engineers, focusing on the design and tendering of power plants, including turbines and generators, for various projects in Denmark and abroad.

Qualifications

  • Demonstrated experience in the design of power plants and power generating systems, particularly synchronous condensers.
  • Familiarity with high voltage projects (132, 150, and 400 kV systems).
  • Experience with both greenfield and brownfield projects.
  • Consulting experience on large-scale power projects with client interaction.
  • Desirable experience with gas-fired power plants.
  • Proficiency in English and an additional European language.

Responsibilities

  • Conducting detailed engineering design for synchronous machines and associated systems.
  • Developing specifications for interfaces between synchronous machines and the grid, including transformers and protection systems.
  • Creating tender specifications and performing technical evaluations for power generation equipment.
  • Analyzing system performance metrics such as reactive power and voltage control, and suggesting improvements.
  • Collaborating with civil, electrical, and control teams to ensure effective machine-grid interfaces.
  • Ensuring compliance with grid codes and environmental regulations.

Skills

  • Strong analytical skills in power system performance.
  • Excellent communication skills for client-facing roles.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in multidisciplinary teams.

Education

  • Relevant degree in electrical engineering or a related field is preferred.

Tools

  • Familiarity with engineering design software and tools relevant to power systems and electrical engineering.
