Postdoctoral Researcher in Software Systems Integration

Job summary

A postdoctoral position is available in the Embedded Systems Engineering section, focusing on software systems integration for sustainable datacenter fleets. The role involves technical integration of various research projects within the AEGIS network, aimed at creating a carbon-efficient, grid-interactive resource.

Qualifications

• PhD in computer science or a related field with a focus on software systems.
• Strong software engineering skills, including API design and integration of heterogeneous components.
• Experience with co-simulation, FMI/Modelica, or energy-system modeling is advantageous.
• Ability to synthesize contributions into coherent publications.
• Independent execution of tasks and project management skills.

Responsibilities

• Define and maintain the AEGIS interface schema and co-simulation framework.
• Package benchmarks and datasets as versioned artifacts.
• Lead and co-author publications related to the AEGIS project.
• Co-supervise MSc and PhD students as appropriate.
• Support administrative tasks for the AEGIS network.

Education

• A PhD degree (or equivalent) is required.

Tools

• Proficiency in Python for building simulation frameworks and tools.
