Qualifications

  • PhD in sensory science or a related field (e.g., consumer behaviour, experimental psychology, food innovation)
  • Excellent organizational and project management skills
  • Fluent in spoken and written English
  • Familiarity with common IT systems

Responsibilities

  • Design, plan, and execute large-scale sensory analysis experiments on microbial food prototypes
  • Collaborate with an R&D Chef for food sample preparation and service
  • Develop and coordinate partnerships with Danish cultural institutions for sensory analyses
  • Supervise BSc and MSc student projects

Skills

  • Experience in method development for sensory and consumer research
  • Knowledge of citizen science and large-scale datasets
  • Basic understanding of food science, food microbiology, and sustainability issues
  • Experience with fermentation processes
  • Ability to work collaboratively and independently in an interdisciplinary setting
  • Qualities such as patience, curiosity, and playfulness are valued

Education

  • PhD in sensory science or a closely related area

Tools

  • Familiarity with sensory analysis methodologies and data analysis tools
