A postdoctoral position is available focused on model- and simulation-based planning and control of robotic construction operations, particularly in 3D concrete printing. The role involves collaboration with academic and industrial partners to develop and demonstrate a multi-robot gantry system for construction tasks.

Qualifications

  • PhD in engineering with a strong academic record
  • Proven knowledge in automation and/or logistics
  • Experience with simulation and Digital Twins
  • Proficient programming skills in C/C++ and Python
  • Strong mathematical skills and practical experience in 3D modeling
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in an agile team
  • Commitment to application-oriented R&D and teamwork with industry staff

Responsibilities

  • Develop and control a multi-robot gantry system for construction operations
  • Create digital workflows from product design to production
  • Conduct detailed 3D simulations of production operations, including robots, tools, and sensors
  • Facilitate the development of Digital Twins for operational control

Skills

  • Strong programming in C/C++ and Python
  • Expertise in automation, logistics, and simulation technologies
  • Advanced mathematical and 3D modeling skills

Education

  • PhD degree in engineering or related field

Tools

  • Simulation software and programming environments for robotics and automation
