Postdoctoral Researcher in Immunotherapy

Job summary

This position focuses on developing mRNA lipid nanoparticle (LNP)-based immunotherapy for cross-allergic diseases. The role involves leading formulation optimization and expanding indications for a novel allergen immunotherapy platform aimed at generating broad immune responses against multiple allergens.

Qualifications

• PhD in immunology, molecular biology, biochemistry, or a related field
• Strong hands-on experience in immunological assays (ELISA, flow cytometry)
• Experience with recombinant protein expression and purification
• Documented experience in allergy, immunotherapy, or related antigen-specific immune response research
• Proven ability to contribute to impactful peer-reviewed publications
• Ability to work independently and in interdisciplinary teams

Responsibilities

• Conduct mRNA-LNP formulation screening and characterization
• Optimize dosing and immunization schedules in mouse models
• Perform ELISA-based quantification of allergen-specific IgG and IgE titres
• Analyze T-cell populations using flow cytometry
• Design and validate new consensus allergens
• Conduct IgE recognition testing and mast cell degranulation assays
• Collaborate closely with various partners in formulation, immunology, and clinical translation
• Manage scientific projects and supervise students
• Support the transition of the project into a startup company

Skills

• Experience with mRNA or nucleic acid-based vaccine platforms is advantageous
• Familiarity with lipid nanoparticle formulation or characterization
• Background in translational or industry-oriented research environments
• Experience with innovation-focused projects and/or startups

Education

• A PhD degree (or equivalent) is required.
