About the role

Job summary

The Paramedic is responsible for providing on-site emergency medical response and managing medical emergencies, either independently or as part of a team. This role involves assessing patients, delivering emergency treatment, and ensuring compliance with medical protocols.

Qualifications

  • State-approved and internationally recognized paramedic license from an EU state or equivalent.
  • At least two years of relevant experience as a registered paramedic.
  • Experience in emergency medical services, pre-hospital care, and transportation medicine.
  • Experience as a paramedic in military operations is advantageous.

Responsibilities

  • Manage medical and trauma emergencies on-site, including stabilization and transfer of patients.
  • Assess patients and provide emergency treatment, including limited primary health care if necessary.
  • Maintain comprehensive and confidential medical records for all patient interactions.
  • Ensure cleanliness and operational readiness of the ambulance and clinic.
  • Maintain medical inventory and ensure availability of equipment.
  • Provide basic health and first aid training to project personnel.
  • Develop and manage major incident response capabilities on-site.
  • Ensure 24/7 access to emergency support.
  • Provide clinical reports to the Regional Medical Director and Project Manager.
  • Support clinical excellence and adherence to protocols and SOPs.

Education

  • Degree/Diploma in Paramedic studies.

Tools

  • Additional valid medical course certifications (e.g., ATLS, PHTLS, ACLS).
  • Current practice license or medical registration with the relevant medical council.
  • Vaccination records for Covid-19, Yellow Fever, Hepatitis B, Hepatitis A, and DTP.
