Job summary

A highly motivated Postdoctoral Researcher is sought to engage in research focused on the development, optimization, and integration of large-scale heat pumps for industrial processes and district heating applications. This role aims to contribute to the electrification and decarbonization of heat supply, enhancing the performance and economic viability of heat pump technologies.

Qualifications

  • PhD degree (or equivalent) in a relevant field.

Responsibilities

  • Develop advanced numerical models for heat pumps using zeotropic refrigerant mixtures.
  • Plan and conduct experimental campaigns on heat pump systems in collaboration with external partners.
  • Validate models with laboratory and full-scale data.
  • Develop optimized control strategies and system designs for large-scale heat pumps.
  • Perform thermo-economic and integration studies for industrial energy systems.
  • Publish research findings in scientific journals and conferences.
  • Contribute to new research proposals and collaborative initiatives.
  • Participate in teaching and supervision of students at various academic levels.

Skills

  • Proficiency in modern modeling and simulation tools for heat pump systems.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Experience with experimental research methodologies.

Education

  • A PhD degree (or equivalent) is required.
