This position involves conducting advanced research in ultrafast nonlinear optics utilizing gas-filled hollow-core fiber platforms. The role focuses on developing high-power near-infrared ultrafast laser sources and gas-filled fiber systems for both fundamental studies and innovative photonic applications. The research will be conducted in a well-equipped laboratory environment that fosters collaboration and mentorship.

Qualifications

  • PhD in optics/photonics, molecular physics, optical engineering, or a related field.
  • Background in nonlinear photonics and ultrafast lasers.
  • Experimental experience with gas-filled hollow-core fiber laser systems.
  • Familiarity with hollow-core fiber technologies.
  • Experience in developing conventional ultrafast laser sources.
  • Knowledge of modeling nonlinear optics and optical fibers.
  • Ability to work independently and creatively contribute to research projects.
  • Experience in co-supervising PhD students.
  • Proficiency in English, both written and spoken.
