Job summary

This is an opportunity for a fully remote Policy Research Trainee position designed for students, graduates, and early-career professionals interested in policy research, human rights, governance, and related fields. The program lasts for 8 weeks and consists of two phases: a training phase focused on research methodology and a supervised research phase where participants will apply their learning to produce a research paper or policy brief.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

  • Conduct literature reviews on approved topics related to policy, law, or governance.
  • Develop research summaries, issue notes, and analytical briefs.
  • Participate in online research guidance sessions.
  • Apply appropriate research methodology and citation standards.
  • Prepare a supervised research paper, policy brief, or analytical report.
  • Revise research work based on feedback.
  • Follow ethical research and academic integrity requirements.
  • Complete agreed research milestones within the program period.

Skills

  • Proficient written English.

Education
