Platform Engineer (E-commerce, Aarhus)

Job summary

This role involves building and operating a cloud platform that supports AI-powered merchandising solutions for retail and e-commerce. The position is within a collaborative team focused on delivering innovative analytics and AI solutions.

Qualifications

• Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
• Experience with cloud infrastructure, preferably AWS (Azure or GCP is also valuable).
• Hands-on experience with infrastructure-as-code tools such as Kubernetes, Terraform, and Helm.
• Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and containerized workflows (e.g., GitHub Actions, Docker).
• Proficient scripting skills in Python, Bash, or similar languages.
• Strong communication skills for effective collaboration across teams.

Responsibilities

• Build and maintain cloud infrastructure on AWS using infrastructure-as-code.
• Contribute to the migration of the platform to AWS, including data architecture.
• Develop self-service capabilities for product teams to enhance productivity.
• Support improvements in reliability, security, and cost-efficiency of the platform.
• Collaborate with various teams to align platform development with real user needs.

Skills

• Experience with data platforms (e.g., Databricks, Snowflake) or streaming technologies (e.g., Kafka) is a plus.
• Familiarity with monitoring and observability tools (e.g., Datadog, Prometheus, Grafana).
• Interest or experience in MLOps or AI/machine-learning workloads is advantageous.
• Knowledge of agentic AI development workflows is a plus.

Education

• A degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related discipline, or equivalent practical experience.
