This PhD position focuses on advancing research in functional genomics of microorganisms that utilize CO₂-derived feedstocks for bioprocesses. Qualifications

  • Relevant professional qualifications for the position
  • Proven ability to complete projects successfully
  • Strong background in molecular biology and genetic engineering tools, including CRISPR-Cas
  • Experience in microbiology laboratory techniques and instruments such as mini bioreactors, HPLC, and PCR
  • Familiarity with multi-omics data generation and analysis (transcriptomics, proteomics, metabolomics)
  • Proficient in English with strong interpersonal skills
  • Creative thinking and high motivation

Responsibilities

  • Conduct innovative research in microbial functional genomics
  • Meet educational requirements of the DTU BRIGHT PhD school
  • Supervise MSc student projects
  • Publish findings in peer-reviewed journals
  • Present research at international conferences

Education

  • A two-year master's degree (120 ECTS points) or equivalent academic level is required.

Tools

  • Mini bioreactors, HPLC, PCR, and multi-omics analysis tools.
