About the role

Job summary

The role involves managing payroll processes for approximately 500 employees in Denmark and coordinating with a third-party payroll provider for additional foreign entities. The Payroll Lead will oversee a small team to ensure payroll activities are executed accurately and timely.

Qualifications

  • Proven experience in payroll accountancy and managing third-party payroll providers.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines.
  • Detail-oriented with strong numerical abilities and a good understanding of general accountancy.
  • Excellent written and spoken English skills.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee payroll operations with a third-party bureau across multiple locations.
  • Collect and register payroll data, resolving discrepancies within set timelines.
  • Review and approve payroll processes, including payslips and tax reporting.
  • Communicate with public authorities regarding sick and maternity pay refunds.
  • Report and transfer wages, staying updated on legislation and employee pension information.
  • Reconcile wages in Business Central and address employee payroll inquiries.

Skills

  • Strong communication skills and ability to maintain confidentiality.
  • Capacity to improve processes and automate systems to reduce manual tasks.

Education

  • Relevant qualifications in payroll management or accountancy preferred.

Tools

  • Familiarity with payroll systems such as Workday, Visma, and CloudPay is advantageous.
