Operations / Network Engineer (Copenhagen)

Job summary

The role involves managing and maintaining IT infrastructure, ensuring the stable, secure, and efficient operation of network systems both on-premise and in public cloud environments. You will be part of a team that supports various business units across the Nordics.

Qualifications

• Over 5 years of experience in a similar position.
• Strong understanding of networking fundamentals including Cisco, Meraki, Fortinet, SD-WAN, ADVPN, routing/switching, and wireless technologies.
• Experience with Windows server administration and virtualization (Hyper-V).
• Proficient in managing enterprise firewalls and wireless solutions, with a preference for Cisco Meraki.
• Familiarity with cloud networking in Azure, AWS, and GCP.
• Fluency in one or more Nordic languages (Danish, Swedish, Norwegian) and professional English.
• A proactive approach with a focus on simplicity.

Responsibilities

• Ensure daily operation and performance of routers, switches, firewalls, load balancers, and wireless infrastructure.
• Operate hybrid infrastructure including on-prem servers, virtualization, storage, and cloud platforms.
• Support cloud environments in Azure, AWS, and GCP.
• Monitor network health, performance, bandwidth utilization, and availability.
• Troubleshoot incidents and conduct root cause analysis.
• Automate routine tasks using scripting or Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools.
• Collaborate with IT and other departments.
• Participate in the on-call team for incident management outside of regular hours.
