Job summary

This role involves preparing and presenting high-quality food in a busy kitchen environment, ensuring consistency and adherence to health and safety standards. The Chef de Partie will work under the guidance of senior chefs and contribute to various dining areas including the restaurant, in-room dining, bar, and banqueting.

Qualifications

  • Experience in preparing and presenting food to high hotel standards.
  • Previous experience in a luxury hotel is advantageous.

Responsibilities

  • Cook dishes as directed by the Chef de Cuisine or Sous Chefs, ensuring timely presentation.
  • Understand and adhere to all menus across different dining areas.
  • Maintain hygiene and professionalism in the kitchen.
  • Monitor stock levels and report any discrepancies.
  • Follow correct storage procedures and assist with stock rotation.
  • Help train junior team members as needed.
  • Attend briefings and training sessions as required.
  • Follow the staff rota and complete tasks assigned by senior chefs.
  • Exhibit flexibility to meet the demands of a 24-hour operation.

Skills

  • Strong teamwork and communication skills.
  • Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment.

Education

  • Relevant culinary qualifications or certifications are preferred.

Tools

  • Familiarity with kitchen equipment and cooking tools relevant to high-quality food preparation.
