About the role

Job summary

This internship in the model workshop is designed to enhance your studies and will last for 6–12 months, starting in September 2026. Applicants must be currently enrolled as students.

Qualifications

  • Strong hand skills and a passion for model making.
  • Ability to work with precision, patience, and attention to detail.
  • Independent and proactive, with a willingness to take initiative.
  • Experience with 3D modeling software, particularly Rhino (Grasshopper is a plus).
  • Responsible and capable of meeting deadlines consistently.
  • Open to learning and experimenting with new techniques.

Responsibilities

  • Contribute to research on enhancing the circularity of the modelmaking process.
  • Create architectural models for design studies, competitions, and exhibitions.
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams and communicate daily on design development.
  • Experiment with physical models to explore ideas and concepts.
  • Utilize tools such as laser cutting, 3D printing, mold making, casting, woodworking, and hard tools.
  • Maintain workshop organization and ensure machinery is well-maintained for safety and efficiency.

Skills

  • Proficiency in 3D modeling (Rhino preferred).
  • Familiarity with various modelmaking techniques and materials, including upcycled and biobased options.

Education

  • Currently enrolled in a relevant academic program.

Tools

  • Laser cutters, 3D printers, woodworking tools, and other modelmaking equipment.
