Mid-Level Data Platform Engineer (AdTech, Copenhagen)

Job summary

A Data Platform Engineer is sought to design, build, and optimize cloud infrastructure and deployment processes for a global data and AI platform. This role involves collaboration with various teams to enhance system reliability and streamline development workflows.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in Data Platform Engineering, Cloud Engineering, DataOps, or Site Reliability Engineering (SRE) in enterprise environments.
• Strong hands-on experience with cloud platforms like Amazon Web Services or Google Cloud Platform.
• Proven expertise in Infrastructure as Code using HashiCorp Terraform or similar tools.
• Deep experience with Docker and Kubernetes for container orchestration.
• Solid scripting skills in Bash, Python, or similar languages.

Responsibilities

• Design scalable cloud-native systems supporting Spark data analytics and AI workloads.
• Implement Infrastructure as Code and build secure multi-account/cross-cloud environments.
• Optimize cost efficiency for data workloads and low latency microservices.
• Deploy and manage clusters with Kubernetes and automate testing and security checks.
• Collaborate on architectural choices and enforce DevOps principles through code reviews and documentation.

Skills

• Experience with CI/CD pipeline maintenance and observability solutions like Datadog or Prometheus.
• Strong understanding of networking concepts and security best practices.
• Excellent collaboration and communication skills, with a proactive mindset focused on reliability and scalability.

Education

• Relevant degree or equivalent experience in a related field is preferred.

Tools

• Familiarity with GitHub Actions, GitLab CI/CD, or Argo Workflows for automation.
