Job summary

The role of Medical Advisor focuses on enhancing cardiovascular care in the Nordic markets by establishing scientific relationships and ensuring the responsible use of medicines. This position involves translating global medical strategies into local practices and maintaining medical accountability across the region.

Qualifications

• Advanced degree in Life Sciences, Medicine, Pharmacy, or a related field (MD, PharmD, PhD, MSc, or equivalent).
• Over 5 years of experience in Medical Affairs, such as Medical Advisor or Medical Science Liaison, within the pharmaceutical, biotech, or medical device sectors.
• Strong understanding of scientific engagement, evidence generation, and compliance within the pharmaceutical industry.
• Experience in cardiovascular therapeutic areas and familiarity with Nordic healthcare systems is advantageous.
• Proven ability to build relationships with healthcare professionals and key opinion leaders.
• Experience in cross-functional collaboration with commercial, regulatory, and market access teams.
• Strong communication and presentation skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
• Fluency in English and a Scandinavian language.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement the country medical plan aligned with global strategies and local needs.
• Ensure medical readiness for product launches and lifecycle management.
• Provide medical leadership and scientific input to various internal teams while maintaining independence.
• Build and sustain relationships with key opinion leaders and external stakeholders.
• Lead scientific exchanges and represent the organization at professional forums.
• Ensure compliance and accuracy of medical and promotional materials.
• Manage medical inquiries and provide evidence-based responses.
• Identify evidence gaps and support local research initiatives.
• Monitor scientific literature and communicate insights internally.
• Ensure timely reporting of adverse events and safety information.
• Oversee country medical activities, budgets, and compliance requirements.
