Job summary

This part-time position involves supporting the Mechatronics group within a Mechanical and Electrical Engineering department, focusing on laboratory management and assisting in lab development projects.

Qualifications

  • Familiarity with lab usage and scheduling for teaching and projects.
  • Experience with various electronics component types and their applications.
  • Proficiency in PCB design, electronics prototyping, and troubleshooting.
  • Practical experience in lab settings, including setup and testing of experimental systems.
  • Strong foundation in electronics engineering and understanding of electrical/software domains.
  • Ability to integrate components into functional systems across disciplines.
  • Skills in soldering, desoldering, and mounting connectors.

Responsibilities

  • Manage lab inventory, ensuring components are stocked and ready for use.
  • Predict component needs based on project themes and prepare order lists.
  • Unpack, sort, and refill component stock for student access.
  • Assist students in accessing specialized tools and training for safe usage.

Education

  • Must be enrolled as a student at a recognized institution.

Tools

  • Familiarity with lab tools and equipment relevant to electronics and mechatronics.
