Material Project Controller (Mechanical Engineering, Kalundborg)

Job summary

The role involves overseeing material management for projects, ensuring compliance with safety and quality standards while supporting operational efficiency.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in stores management is preferred.
• Familiarity with mechanical processes, particularly pipes and fittings, is advantageous.
• Valid work permits are required for application consideration.

Responsibilities

• Receive and inspect plant and machinery deliveries.
• Verify received quantities against packing slips and purchase orders, updating inventory in software.
• Scan and file delivery documentation.
• Report discrepancies such as overages, shortages, and damages to the purchasing team.
• Update the Plant Schedule with received tag numbers and storage locations.
• Maintain daily communication with field supervisors and engineers to ensure material availability.
• Ensure proper sign-off for delivered items at the site.
• Keep records of signed material request forms.
• Manage logistics for project materials from suppliers to site delivery.
• Ensure compliance with environmental, health, and safety (EHS) standards during transport and offloading.
• Organize and monitor material storage and distribution across the project.
• Schedule and control all site deliveries and report weekly to the purchasing team on materials received.
