About the role

Job summary

The role involves managing procurement activities for jack-up vessels within the offshore wind and oil & gas sectors, focusing on developing commodity strategies and conducting contract negotiations.

Qualifications

  • Relevant academic maritime degree or equivalent experience in a similar position.
  • Extensive experience in negotiating marine contracts, particularly Bimco Supplytime and ASVTIME charter parties.
  • Significant experience with vessel chartering, preferably with jack-up vessels in the wind or oil & gas industry.
  • Operational knowledge of the offshore industry with a commercial mindset and contractual background.
  • Proven ability to manage commodities in complex global business environments.
  • Fluent in English, both written and spoken.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain the commodity strategy for turbine installation and service jack-up vessels.
  • Manage sourcing and tender activities for jack-up vessels.
  • Collaborate with the negotiation team to develop sourcing strategies and prepare RFI/RFQ documents.
  • Conduct contract negotiations and guide the evaluation of incoming bids.
  • Build and maintain strong supplier relationships and provide market intelligence to stakeholders.

Skills

  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Solid analytical skills with a keen commercial interest.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with senior management.

Education

  • Preferred academic background in maritime studies or equivalent.

Tools

  • Experience with procurement and contract management tools relevant to the offshore industry.
