Marine HVAC Field Service Engineer (Remote)

Job summary

The role involves providing on-site services for air-conditioning and cooling systems in the maritime and offshore sectors, including servicing, installations, maintenance, and equipment upgrades. Frequent travel is required to support urgent customer needs, often aboard ships or in global ports.

Qualifications

• University degree or equivalent qualification
• Minimum of 5 years of relevant field service experience, or 3 years with an advanced degree
• Strong knowledge of HVAC systems, particularly marine air-conditioning and refrigeration
• Ability to communicate technical information effectively
• Willingness to travel internationally at least 80% of the time
• Good command of English
• Familiarity with shipboard systems and maritime operations is a plus

Responsibilities

• Maintain and repair air-conditioning and cooling systems on ships and offshore platforms
• Conduct technical analysis and perform advanced testing procedures
• Diagnose mechanical and electrical malfunctions and order replacement parts
• Communicate technical findings and recommendations clearly
• Commission new installations in collaboration with owners or shipbuilding teams
• Provide high-quality customer service and ensure client satisfaction
• Develop product expertise and report technical issues
