Manager, Enterprise Data Governance

Job summary

This role involves leading the establishment of data governance as a function within a large global organization, ensuring governance across various data disciplines and business functions. You will be responsible for defining roles, managing resources, and fostering a collaborative culture within a cross-functional governance team.

Qualifications

• Extensive experience in data governance, data management, or information architecture roles.
• Proven ability to lead data governance initiatives in complex organizations.
• Strong understanding of metadata, reference data, data quality, and master data management.
• Familiarity with data cataloguing tools and enterprise data platforms.
• Experience working with business and IT teams in federated or hybrid data governance models.

Responsibilities

• Establish and manage a governance blueprint, including KPI and SLA management.
• Create and implement standards and definitions for governance frameworks across data management disciplines.
• Develop and execute an audit framework to ensure compliance across data management functions.
• Define and integrate governance policies and standards into enterprise data workflows and projects.
• Deliver training and promote adoption of governance practices among stakeholders.
• Track governance KPIs and drive continuous improvement through data insights.

Education

• Relevant degree in data management, information systems, or a related field is preferred.
