Job summary

The role involves leading the technical direction and managing a team of engineers focused on building live enterprise applications for fuel purchasing decisions. The position requires a hands-on approach to design and development while ensuring the growth of team members and maintaining high engineering standards.

Qualifications

  • Proven experience in technical leadership, driving architecture decisions and accountable for delivery.
  • Experience in supporting engineers' growth through mentorship or management.
  • Over 6 years of professional software engineering experience, particularly in shipping web applications.
  • Strong proficiency in C# and .NET (preferably .NET 6+), with experience in RESTful APIs.
  • Familiarity with both microservice and monolith architectures.
  • Experience with AI-assisted development tools.
  • Knowledge of modern cloud infrastructure, CI/CD, containerization (Docker), and infrastructure-as-code (Terraform).
  • Hands-on experience with Kubernetes is a plus.
  • Excellent communication skills in English, with experience in agile team collaboration across time zones.
  • A degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience.

Responsibilities

  • Set the technical direction and own architecture decisions for the Fuel platform.
  • Design, develop, and maintain scalable backend services and APIs.
  • Conduct biweekly 1-1s to understand and support engineers' career goals.
  • Collaborate with product management to scope and prioritize work, ensuring technical quality in delivery.
  • Enforce engineering standards through code reviews, testing practices, and CI/CD.
