Lead Piping Supervisor (Construction, Remote)

Job summary

The role involves overseeing piping installation activities on construction sites, ensuring efficiency, safety, and adherence to specifications while coordinating with subcontractors and other trades.

Qualifications

• Experience in the pharmaceutical industry is a plus.
• Proficient in reading isometric drawings, GAs, and P&IDs.
• Strong organizational, communication, and time management skills.
• Team-oriented with a focus on project delivery.
• Proficient in MS Word and Excel; essential experience with Navis Works 3D Model.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate site activities to maximize installation efficiency.
• Prepare and submit weekly reports to the line manager, meeting installation targets.
• Identify work fronts, issue work packs, and sign off on completed work.
• Conduct weekly toolbox talks and site audits as necessary.
• Communicate updates from morning meetings to supervisors.
• Ensure labor requirements align with project schedules.
• Maintain high-quality installation standards per site specifications.
• Monitor subcontractor efficiency and compliance with schedules.
• Report variations and delays to the Construction Manager and Project Manager.
• Ensure all materials and equipment meet specifications and are stored safely.
• Uphold health and safety standards on site and promote safe working practices.
• Maintain high housekeeping standards among all workers.
• Provide weekly labor requirements to the Construction Manager.
• Assess and allocate work to craft based on ability and efficiency.
• Cover for the Construction Manager when necessary.
• Attend weekly internal meetings for site updates.

Skills

Education

• Relevant qualifications in mechanical engineering or related fields preferred.
