About the role

Job summary

The role involves defining and operationalizing integration architecture standards for a unified software ecosystem. The Lead Integration Architect is responsible for establishing API design patterns, event-driven architecture standards, and schema governance to ensure interoperability across various platforms.

Qualifications

  • Over 10 years of experience in software engineering or architecture, with at least 5 years in integration architecture roles.
  • Expertise in REST/GraphQL API design, event-driven architecture (e.g., Kafka, MQTT), asynchronous messaging, and schema governance.
  • Strong experience with Kubernetes for deploying and operating containerized workloads.
  • Proven track record in delivering integration solutions and maintaining technical quality throughout implementation.
  • Experience in setting API versioning and schema management standards.

Responsibilities

  • Design and oversee integration architecture solutions across software platforms and enterprise systems.
  • Define and validate integration standards and reference architectures in practice.
  • Architect containerized integration solutions ensuring reliability and scalability.
  • Review and approve critical integration designs, making binding architecture decisions.
  • Maintain a library of reusable integration patterns and reference implementations.
  • Act as the integration authority across divisions, solving complex architecture problems.
  • Define integration contracts between services and systems, ensuring technical quality.
  • Identify and remediate integration patterns that introduce technical debt or governance issues.

Skills

  • Hands-on experience with Docker and cloud-native deployment patterns.
  • Familiarity with service mesh, API gateway, and integration infrastructure.
  • Experience integrating AI/ML services through governed patterns.
  • Background in working across organizational boundaries for system integration.
  • Exposure to GitOps, infrastructure-as-code, and DevSecOps practices.

Education

  • Relevant degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field is preferred.

Tools

  • Kubernetes, Docker, API management tools, and cloud platforms.
