Lead Developer

Job summary

The Lead Developer will take technical ownership of a critical application landscape and drive the modernization of software platforms within a pharmaceutical company. This role involves working with custom-developed .NET applications, SQL Server databases, and web-based solutions, balancing day-to-day delivery with long-term improvements.

Qualifications

• Over 7 years of experience in a Senior Developer, Lead Developer, or Technical Lead role, with experience in leading development teams.
• Strong expertise in enterprise applications and complex business systems, with a solid understanding of software architecture and design patterns.
• Proficient in C# / .NET, ASP.NET, web application development, Microsoft SQL Server, database design and optimization, REST APIs, HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and Git.
• Familiarity with Azure, Azure DevOps, CI/CD pipelines, Entity Framework, Microservices, or Microsoft Entra ID is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical leadership and guidance to the development team, ensuring best practices in code quality and architecture.
• Design, develop, and maintain business-critical applications while actively participating in hands-on development.
• Analyze existing applications for improvement opportunities and support the evolution of legacy systems.
• Collaborate with business stakeholders to translate requirements into scalable solutions.
• Participate in planning, estimation, and prioritization activities, supporting deployments and operational improvements.

Education

• Relevant degree or equivalent experience in software development and architecture.
