Java Engineer

Job summary

As a Java Engineer, you will design, build, and maintain scalable backend systems using modern Java and open-source frameworks. The role emphasizes delivering robust and secure services that support business-critical platforms while contributing to the open-source community.

Qualifications

• Strong experience with Java and a solid understanding of the JVM, including concurrency and memory management.
• Hands-on experience with open-source Java frameworks such as Spring Boot and Spring Data, as well as Kafka and Elasticsearch.
• Practical experience with automated testing using JUnit and Groovy/Spock, and familiarity with DevOps practices including Git, Maven/Gradle, Docker, and CI/CD pipelines.
• Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to communicate technical concepts clearly.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain backend services and APIs using Java and JVM-based technologies, applying software design principles for maintainability.
• Build reliable and scalable backend solutions, including RESTful and event-driven services, while managing relational and non-relational databases.
• Implement automated testing at multiple levels and establish effective logging, monitoring, and alerting for stable operations.
• Participate in code reviews, architecture discussions, and support DevOps practices, managing open-source dependencies securely.
